The Grant Application Process

Step 1

Review Guidelines

Before applying, carefully review our grant application guidelines to ensure eligibility and compliance with our objectives.

Step 2

Prepare your application

After confirming your eligibility, begin by downloading our application form and providing the requested information regarding your organization’s mission, goals, project details, budget, and anticipated outcomes.

Our dedicated LNF team is available to support you at every stage. Feel free to schedule a call with one of our helpful team members who will provide guidance throughout the process.

Step 3

Submit your application

Submit your application on time to and include all required documents and supporting materials. The application deadlines are fixed and occur on January 31st, April 30th, and September 30th of every year.

Step 4

Review Process

Our Volunteer Board of Directors will carefully evaluate applications to ensure they align with our funding priorities and evaluate the merit.

Step 5

Progress Reporting

Recipients are required to offer regular updates regarding the progress of their projects. By actively engaging in progress reporting, recipients showcase their commitment to achieving project objectives and maximizing the grant’s impact within their communities.

Step 6

Boost your impact

You’ve secured funding! Excellent! Spread the word about the positive impact you’re making for Veterans with the help of a Legion National Foundation Grant. Use social media to boost visibility and garner additional support.
