The Grant Application Process
Step 1
Ensure Your Project Benefits Veterans
Before applying, ensure that your project’s primary beneficiaries are Veterans, CAF, RCMP members, and their families. As a Veterans-focused charity, The Legion National Foundation exclusively supports initiatives that serve Canada’s Veterans and prioritize this group as the central focus of the project.
Applications outside this scope do not fall within our mandate and, unfortunately, will not be considered.
Step 2
Prepare your application
Start by downloading our application form and providing the requested information about your organization’s mission, goals, project details, budget, and anticipated outcomes.
Our team is here to assist you. For questions, feel free to schedule a 10-15 minute call with one of our team members for guidance.
Step 3
Submit your application
Submit your application on time to info@lnfcanada.ca, including all required documents and supporting materials.
Application deadlines are fixed and occur on January 31st, April 30th, and September 30th each year. Please note that submissions must be made in the calendar year of the requested funding.
Step 4
Review Process
Once submitted, our Foundation Staff and Volunteer Board of Directors will carefully review each application to ensure it aligns with our funding priorities and meets our evaluation criteria.
Due to the high volume of applications, only those approved for funding will be contacted.
Step 5
Progress Reporting
Progress updates are required at 3, 6, and 12 month milestones. These reports are essential for tracking the development of the project, ensuring that milestones are achieved, and assessing the overall impact. Timely updates will help ensure the success and continued support of your initiative.
